The Police Department is responsible for all law enforcement and public safety of Town residents and businesses including 24-hour/7 days per week officer patrol, traffic enforcement, neighborhood checks, dispatch services and school crossing guards.

Chief Goble has worked for the Orange Park Police Department since 1993. He started his law enforcement career in 1989 with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office. He has served as a Patrolman, Detective, Corporal, Sergeant and Lieutenant with OPPD. He was appointed to the position of Chief in August 2012. Chief Goble has lived in Clay County most of his life and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Management and a Master of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice. He enjoys playing golf, working out, and is a huge Georgia Bulldog fan. He has two children, Zachary and Lexie.

On behalf of the men and women of the Orange Park Police Department I would like to welcome you to our web page.

The Orange Park Police department’s number one goal is the safety and security of the residents of the Town of Orange Park and all those who travel through or are visiting our town. We pride ourselves on being an agency that goes the extra mile to provide the service you expect from a premier law enforcement agency.

As a police agency, we understand that we cannot do our job without community involvement. We pride ourselves on being an agency that listens to the public’s concerns and I have made it my commitment to be responsive to the needs of the community. Our department works hard to build a strong trust with the community. We have a professional organization filled with officers who truly care about their jobs and their community and we will be held accountable for what we do. Our officers are proud of their police department and the community they serve.
